NIK BATES - LIGHTS OUT! (INTRO)
Remember how I said I got some sick beats to rap on? Well this is a rough draft, but here is what would be the intro to a mixtape titled Lights On!/Lights Out! which should be awesome. Totally new sound, different direction.
And what’s up with the picture quality of the album cover tumblr…
Here is the intro track to the Lights On!/Lights Out! mixtape.

So now it’s official. These album covers will be a part of a mixtape, titled Lights On!/Lights Out! which is it’s own new project. It’s two halves, with me rapping over Flying Lotus, J Dilla, Samiyam and other beats. It’s a bunch of 8-Bit and Electronic hip-hop.

So I was bored, and I decided to make a mixtape cover. Now I don’t know if I would actually name the next one “Golden State Beach” but I thought this looked cool.

NEW SONG: Antarctic Circle
I kicked it double-time for this verse. Check it out, I rapped over Young Dro, Gucci Mane & T.I.’s “Freeze Me.” Yay! Try to rap it with me!

Give it a listen. It’s one of my better songs, really. I rapped on Talib Kweli’s Hot Thing. But this is Nik Bates’ Hot Thang

Nik Bates // Smalls Is The Illest
Well I wanted to do something lyrically for a song. The entire song, both verses and chorus have a short ‘i’ rhyme scheme. Basically the whole song rhymes with pick/rip/sit. Be on the look out for more hip-hop sounding music in the future, as well as dope ass beat music.
